I have a time machine backup of my OSX system, and a system image backup of my previous BootCamp Windows partition. I made a new bootcamp partition, bigger than the previous one (90GB), I have the OS iso on a USB drive, and the backup image on an external hard drive. At no point during the Windows installation I am offered to restore my backup. Download Windows 10 Disc Image (ISO File) Before updating, please refer to the Windows release information status for known issues to confirm your device is not impacted.

If the disk image will be used with a Mac with macOS 10.12 or earlier, choose Mac OS Extended (Journaled) or Mac OS Extended (Case-sensitive, Journaled). If the disk image will be used with a Mac or Windows computer and is 32 GB or less, choose MS-DOS (FAT); if it’s over 32 GB, choose ExFAT. Besides Mac OS X disk images (.dmg), TransMac supports.img,.sparseimage and.plist format. After launching the app, a list of all your partitions is displayed at startup.
